In evidence of this, Cisco has invested $6 million (USD) in research and development just this year alone. During VivaTech, our CEO Chuck Robbins, an indisputable leader in the IT world, delivered his vision concerning the subject "Fueling Possibilities, Technology's Global Impact".
Mr. Robbins firstly shed light on the extent to which the entrepreneurial economy has grown over the last 5 years, particularly in France. He then continued by assuring the public at VivaTech that Cisco will continue to invest in French Startups "pro" digital transformation*.
Digital development equally prompts Cisco to favour stronger investment in education with the goal of enlightening as many people as possible when it comes to understanding new technologies.
Talking about Digital transformation, Eric Greffier, Managing Director of Cisco France, appeared on the CEO forum stage to discuss this hot topic.
While stating that we live in a world full of applications, he also highlighted that 63% of French SMBs don't have a concrete plan with regards to their digital transformation. He provided key insights on how to evolve a company in terms of digital transformation :

Still tackling hot topics, Vivatech also hosted a roundtable discussing Artificial Intelligence (AI), virtual assistance and the Internet of Things.
Jeremy Bevan, Global leader of Cisco customer loyalty (EMEAR region), took part in this roundtable, accompanied by representatives from Marketo, Google and Wal-Mart. Jeremy outlined Cisco's strategy concerning virtual assistance solutions, placing a special emphasis on our new Cisco WebEx Assistant solution. The speech inspired French marketing directors on the quest for innovating ideas to integrate into their marketing mix.
