Dickerson says KNet is now refreshing all of Axis’ hardware infrastructure, including moving to managed Cisco switches. It is deploying Cisco’s Identity Services Engine (ISE), which will enable KNet to offer the remediation controls over remote users as easily as if they were in its head office.
The consumption-based model also enables KNet to regularly review requirements to ensure they are delivering the best security and the best value for Axis.“We can tweak the service to make sure it is offering what they need to stay protected,” he says.
Wagg says Axis is now able to compete for contracts that would have previously been unattainable.
“With certain Government contracts, you have to sign an agreement that you have a certain level of security in place,” Wagg says. “And that is something that we haven’t probably really be able to do in the past, but we can confidently do now.
“We are one step ahead of our competitors, which is where we like to be. And it is something that we need to start promoting and include in our tenders.”
