Cisco sustainability commitments

Cisco has committed to reach net zero emissions across all scopes of its business by 2040. We are decreasing greenhouse gas emissions for product use, operations, and supply chain.
We also committed to reaching net zero for all global Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2025.

Strategies we plan to use to reach net zero include:

Increasing the energy efficiency of our products through innovative product design
Accelerating the use of renewable energy
Embracing hybrid work
Investing in carbon removal solutions
Embedding sustainability and circular economy principles across our business

AWS sustainability commitments

Amazon leads the way in sustainability through The Climate Pledge, a commitment by Amazon and more than 50 other signatories to become net zero across our organization by 2040. We’re also helping AWS customers learn how our tools and services can improve their sustainability efforts.

AWS implements sustainability in our operations through
the following:

Focus on efficiency and continuous innovation across the AWS global infrastructure, with a goal of powering operations with 100 percent renewable energy by 2025.
Build a sustainable business for its employees, customers, and communities.
Accelerate sustainability research and innovation by minimizing the cost and time required to acquire and analyze large sustainability datasets (Amazon Sustainability Data Initiative).
Make 50 percent of all shipments net-zero carbon by 2030.
Deploy 100,000 custom electric delivery vehicles by 2030.
Invest in projects to support development of decarbonizing technologies, reforestation projects, and climate mitigation solutions.
