How to find Webex in your learning portal

Learning how to navigate a new platform can be tricky, so here are some short, quick-start-guides which show, and tell you how to navigate and use Webex within your learning platform.

Finding Classroom Collaboration:

1. Log in to your LMS.
2. Click on a course.
3. Click Cisco Webex.
4. Send a message to the class to start collaborating.

Calling in Classroom Collaboration

There will be times where a quick video call with your classmates might be needed. You might want to run an idea by some of the class, maybe brainstorm a little or even just check-in to see how everyone is getting on?

Calling your classmates is easy, just send a message and ask if anyone is free for a quick call, then hit the Activity Menu, and press call.

Once you’re done, simply click the End button to end the call.

How to share files with your class

Sharing files is a key part of working together and collaborating with each other.

Your classmates can download any of the files you share and they'll get stored in the Space too. So you'll always have them in one place.

To share a file:

Click the attachment button to open your file browser.
Select the file or files you want to share.
Type a message to your class, letting them know what the files contain or how they might help.
Hit the Enter key on your keyboard to share.

How to find your class files

All files shared in the class space will always stay in the class Space, so you'll always have a back up if you need it.

To find all of the files in your Space:

Click on the Activity menu button, in the top right of the Space.
Click the Files icon.
Scroll through to find the file you want to look at.

You can click on the file to see a preview or click the arrow at the bottom of the file to download it.
