From entertainment content to pachinko machines to resorts, integrated entertainment company SEGA SAMMY wants to ‘create moving experiences and make life more colorful’. So that the entertainment, gaming, and resort teams could work towards this vision together, SEGA SAMMY consolidated all three functions into one Tokyo head office.
Management wanted to foster collaboration and the exchange of ideas between the different arms of the company. But with 6,500 employees each using multiple devices, 20 companies with their own security policies, and more than 20,000 ports in the integrated network, streamlining was key.
To establish a unified yet flexible network, agile enough to respond to the business’s changing priorities, SEGA SAMMY implemented Cisco DNA.
“Cisco DNA unitarily and visually manages large-scale integrated platforms, understands predictors, and will enable automation in the future,” says Yasuyuki Komiya, a manager in SEGA SAMMY’s IT Solutions Division.
Cisco’s integrated platform has enabled the teams at SEGA SAMMY to break down enterprise walls and swap ideas and solutions freely. By integrating its disparate IT infrastructure, the entertainment company has cut its costs and increased efficiency.
