There are a few different ways you can call people. To call a phone number directly from Jabber:
Click the Calls tab.
Click the Dial pad icon.
Enter the number using your keyboard or mouse.
Click the Call button or press the enter key.
To call someone from your contact list:
Click the Contacts tab.
Hover over the person you want to call.
Click on the Phone icon and choose which number you want to call
The call will be instantly connected.
Sometimes talking is quicker than typing. Plus you have the option to share your screen or an application, so you're both on the same page.
To call someone directly from a message:
Click on the Call icon, found at the top right of the chat window
Choose the number you want to call and the call will be connected
