Persistent messaging
The transition to the Teams will introduce the ability for persistent 1:1 chats and spaces - so users can pick up conversations where they left off.

Spaces
Instead of group chats in Jabber, you can create “spaces” in Webex Teams where you can add multiple people and send messages and files to the entire group. Use the @Mention feature to nudge a person or even use @All to send a notification to the whole space.

Teams
A team is a virtual place for a group of people who will work together for a longer period of time or on a variety of projects. Teams are different from spaces because they have many different spaces in them. And members can choose which spaces to join.

Presence
Webex Teams uses context based presence to show when users are active, time of last activity, out of the office or do not disturb. You can also set a custom status.

Here you will find a list of spaces you’re a part of and people you have spoken to. The list is ordered by the most recent activity. You can also set your favorites so they are listed at the top.

With Webex Teams you have a cohesive app experience where meetings live alongside messaging. Meetings can be launched or scheduled directly from spaces.

Device pairing
Webex Teams gives you the ability to pair your device with any Webex cloud or on-prem registered device to start calls or meetings and enable screen sharing through the device.

Search
Within Webex Teams, you can search for people, spaces messages and files all from one place and filter messages to quickly see the ones that matter most to you.

Refine
You can refine your search by typing “In:” to find something in a specific space. Or, type “From:” to search messages or content sent by a specific person. Or, type "With:" to search for people you share spaces with.
