Focus on key takeaways to make the most of the 280-character limit.
If you plan on including your @Handle in your tweet, count the characters in your @Handle, and make sure you take them into consideration when crafting a 280-character tweet. People may choose to re-tweet your post by copying and pasting it to an update or can retweet a post with a comment.
Use bitly.com to create short URLs. Your bit.ly account allows you to track click-throughs from your tweets and RTs.
Use relevant hashtags to tag your content e.g. #IoT, #IIoT, #xxxxx. Limit to 3 to avoid spamming.
Monitor your feed throughout the day and respond promptly to questions or concerns from customers and prospects, or any @ responses or mentions you receive (as appropriate).
Pin important tweets to the top of your feed so they appear first.
When you RT, feel free to add your own comment – but make sure it’s clear that it’s your comment, not the original author.
When referencing company-specific content, @ tag company handle to give them rightful attribution to content, 3rd party articles, white papers, etc.

Use a profile and cover picture that represents your company and your expertise.
Customize your LinkedIn URL for your company page.
Join and participate in groups relevant to your company and areas of expertise – e.g., IoT Experts, Connected Cars, Connected Factories, etc.
Respond to comments on post or articles when appropriate, and in a timely manner.
Coordinate cross-promotion efforts with Cisco IoT to increase your exposure.

Facebook

Use a profile and cover picture that represents your company and your expertise.
Post content with links, images, and videos. Stats prove these generate more interest.
Embed videos on your Facebook page, so people don’t click and get sent to YouTube.
Monitor your page throughout the day and respond promptly to questions or comments from customers and prospects.
Interact with others if you want to appear in their feeds.
Post regularly; there’s a time limit on your posts.
Pin important posts to the top of your page for a week.
