Make sure only the right students are in your classroom.
- Lock your class upon start
Having a guest speaker join or a student comes late?
- Admit them from the lobby
Managing a large class? Have some help managing your Webex.
- Have a co-host for crucial or extra-large classes
Help with classroom accessibility by turning on close captioning
- Use Webex Assistant
Looking to create a non-distracting learning environment?
- Ask students to blur their backgrounds
Are you the only one who should be sharing content?
- Uncheck "anyone can share their screen

Breakout Rooms

Use breakout rooms to keep students engaged with group work. Split kids into small groups to share and work together.
- Breakout Room tips
Have side conversations with students when needed
- Create one "hallway" breakout room that is always live if you need to have a conversation with a student 1:1.
  - Invite the student to the breakout room
  - Make sure "join later" checkbox is unchecked
  - Uncheck "can come back after invited" checkbox

Behavior Management

Need to remove a misbehaving student, and send them to the lobby?
- Learn how to expel someone
Student making background noise?
- Mute a student
Need to quiet the whole class?"
- Mute all, except hosts
Need to quiet in-meeting text chatter?
- Disable group chat for the students, except with the hosts

Webex classroom collaboration:
Comparing the LMS version to the native app

Webex is integrated with your LMS, however, you will see slight differences between the LMS version and the Webex app.

We’ve highlighted the key differences. The LMS version of Webex is simplified to keep the focus on the topic or class. You will only see the people in the Space instead of seeing all of the Spaces they are a member of.

Downloading the Webex app is great for collaborating on the fly or outside of class. You can see all of the Spaces you are a part of and you can also create a whiteboard and schedule meetings if it is enabled.

You will also notice that you have a few more options when sending a message. There’s no right or wrong way of using either the LMS or the Webex app, it’s down to your student and teachers' collaboration preferences.

Webex with G-Suite

One Drive and SharePoint online integration

Collaborate with your faculty and classmates in real-time by bringing your documents from OneDrive and SharePoint Online into your Webex conversations.

In Webex, hit the Attach icon and get the file you want to share in your Space.

Files can be edited simultaneously, and as other people make changes, you’ll see them automatically.
