Webex Edge Audio
Webex Edge Audio will intelligently divert Webex phone calls over the internet, avoiding the public telephone network (PSTN).
For phones registered to Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM), Webex Edge Audio enables IP calling for call-in and call-back audio connections to meetings. UCM Users may receive call-back to their familiar internal extension.
Phones not registered to UCM can still benefit by receiving call-back via your PSTN gateway. And if the gateway fails or runs out of capacity, call-back will be directed to the Webex Cloud pool of PSTN gateways. This is limited to country and area (region) codes configured by the Webex Administrator.
