Your first mobile meeting made easy

Start or join a meeting

To start or join a meeting when you are logged into the mobile app:

Step 1

Open the Cisco Webex Meetings app.

Step 2

Swipe from left to right.

Step 3

Tap the Start or the Join button behind the meeting name.

Step 4

Join the audio.

If you selected Use Internet for audio in the settings, this will happen automatically.
If you selected Call in in the settings, you will need to tap call in the pop-up.
If you selected Call Me in the settings, you will need to answer the incoming call.

Note: Your access code will be automatically added.

Step 5

Tap the notification on top of the screen to return to the meeting screen, or reopen the Webex Meetings app.

Step 6

Tap the video icon.

Step 7

Tap Start my video.

Note: If your meeting invitation contains a large amount of text, scroll down to find the meeting link.

Share your screen

First set up screen sharing by adding Screen Recording in your phone
Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls.

To share your screen

Step 1

Tap the … icon down in the Webex Meeting.

Step 2

Tap the Record icon.

Step 3

Tap Share Screen.

Step 4

Tap Start.

Step 5

Tap Webex Meet.

Step 6

Tap Start Broadcast.

Step 7

Navigate to whatever you want to show.

Note: iOS limitations

iOS v11 or later supported only.
VoIP audio is supported only. If you try to screen share while on PSTN audio, the Webex app will stop after approximately 3 minutes.
Sharing apps that are currently using a microphone will cause Webex Audio to stop.

Tips for hosts

As well as scheduling and starting meetings, the host can control the meeting and its participants. From within the meeting, on the mobile app, click the Participants icon on the top right corner of the screen.

To invite others

Step 1

Tap the Invite icon down in the app.

Step 2

Type the email address of the person to invite.

Step 3

Click Send.

To chat with everybody as a group

Tap Chat down in the app.

To mute everybody at once

Tap Mute down in the app.

To interact with a specific attendee

Step 1

Tap their name in the list.

Step 2

Tap Chat to exchange messages with this person only.

Step 3

Tap Mute to silence their microphone.

Step 4

Tap Make Host or Make Presenter to change their role.

Step 5

Tap Expel to remove them from the meeting.

Record the meeting from your mobile:

Step 1

Tap the ... icon, then tap Record to start recording after the meeting starts. The recording indicator appears.

Step 2

To pause recording, tap the ... icon, then tap Pause.

Step 3

To restart the recording, tap the ... icon, then tap Resume.

Step 4

After the meeting ends, you will receive an email with information about accessing the meeting recording.

Need to refer to the meeting later?

The host can easily record the meeting (audio and visual) straight from the mobile app.

Note: If you are signed in, you can share recording links to others via email by tapping the Share button from your host recording list.
