According to Raja Ukil, the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Wipro was looking for a smart network which could enable workforce mobility for 170,000 employees while ensuring data security.
Wipro achieved increased workforce mobility and improved user experience. The policy follows users and devices as they seamlessly move between locations and projects, as people were no longer stationed at their desk. Processes were expedited, with the time taken to onboard clients reduced from months to days. Additionally, the time to deploy cloud services was reduced from hours to minutes.
With greater speed across its processes and systems, Wipro could furnish new projects with required resources at a shorter time. The time expended was shortened to mere minutes, from an initial duration of one week.
The network segmentation introduced by the Cisco solutions enabled easy maintenance of client security and data privacy.
There was greater simplicity implemented across cloud applications, such as the Office 365 suite which was updated for higher user productivity.
