Cisco CMX with Hyperlocation
Cisco's solutions improve Siam Discovery service offerings and customer experiences
Siam Discovery created a mobile app for its customers using Cisco’s Hyperlocation Solution (Cisco Aironet™ 3700 Series wireless access point), which is the industry’s first Wi-Fi network-based location system that can help businesses pinpoint a user’s location within one to three meters. With this app, Siam Discovery can now cater to their customers’ needs on a more personalized level and build loyalty by delivering relevant, real-time messages or offers at the relevant point-of-decision. Users can also make advanced reservation for a parking spot, a restaurant table and even co-working spaces.
Siam Discovery's Wi-Fi system includes the 330 Cisco Aironet® 3700 Series wireless access points, which can handle up to 20,000 mobile devices and provide Internet speeds of up to 1.3 gigabits per second for shoppers.

Cisco also implemented the ASA next-generation firewall appliances to help detect, block and mitigate security threats. Coupled with the built-in security capabilities within each product in the CMX with Hyperlocation solution suite, Cisco is able to provide security for the entire process, from data collection and analytics to personalized content delivery. This helps Siam Discovery prevent data breaches and theft, ensuring the privacy and protection of their customers’ personal data.
Siam Discovery mobile app: using Connected Mobile Experiences (CMX) for personaized customer engagement
Since the relaunch of Siam Discovery in May 2016, its customer database has already grew by 40%, and customer spending in the new mall has increased by 30% compared with the same period last year. The Siam Discovery app is particularly popular with its customers, with close to 40,000 downloads, and 30% of these are active users. Approximately 80% of the new members have also expressed interest in the app as it delivers exclusive news and relevant promotions to their fingertips, making it the best shopping companion in Siam Discovery’s virtual world.
